INTERNATIONAL CAPOLIVERI

HAIKU CONTEST 2010

The International Capoliveri Haiku contest, organised by the Capoliveri town council (on the island of Elba) and by Giorgio Weiss's Il Parnaso association, is open to European Union citizens.

The Jury of the International Capoliveri Haiku Contest 2009, in the second session held in january 26th, 2010, has declared the second group of winners: Luciana Moretto (Uderzo), Luigi Morini (Milan), M. Ivana Trevisani Bach (Albisola Capo).

According to the announcement, the winning poets are granted with a 7 day stay for two people in hotels or residences in Capoliveri (Elba Isle), in May 2010.

The Jury of the International Capoliveri Haiku Contest 2009, in the first session held in december 22nd, 2009, has declared the first group of winners: Thorsten Becher (Germany), Angela Proietti (Italy, Gubbio), Eduard Tara (Romania), Marco Zapparoli (Italy, Milan).

According to the announcement, the winning poets are granted with a 7 day stay for two people in hotels or residences in Capoliveri (Elba Isle), in May 2010.

We wish to thank the Hotels which offered a seven day stay in Isola d'Elba to the winner poets of International Capoliveri Haiku Contest 2008 and 2009:

Poets 2009

Fifth International Contest Capoliveri Haiku, promoted by Municipality of Capoliveri together with Giorgio Weiss' “Il Parnaso", is open to European Union citizens.

The authors must send their haiku in native language and with translation in italian. Entrants can submit up to 5 haiku.

April 21st, 2009. We wish to inform that the 2008 anthology is ready for printing, but we are waiting for the Capoliveri Municipality to give the approval for printing, which we hope to be imminent.

The Jury of the International Capoliveri Haiku Contest 2008, in the second session held the 3rd of november 2008, has declared the second group of winners: Daniel Gahnertz (Sweden) and Guy Vanden Broeck (Belgium).

According to the announcement, the winning poets are granted with a 7 day stay for two people in hotels and residences in Capoliveri (Elba Isle), in May 2009.

The Jury has also short listed another group of poets, in the event of other available stays (before the year's out).

In May 2008 the winning poets of the Third Edition of Capoliveri Haiku Contest 2007 have been awarded with a seven day stay in Capoliveri Elba Isle, thanks to the hotels and residences sponsoring the contest: Grand Hotel Elba International, Villaggio Turistico Innamorata, Hotel Villa Ripalte, Casa Campanella Resort, Hotel Dino, Hotel Frank's, Mini Hotel Residence, Residence Il Melograno, Agriturismo Bio Elba, Residence Augusto, Residence Hotel Santa Petronilla.
